Nature Trail

A walk with a bit of a difference

During opening hours, you can take part in a guided nature trail every hour on the hour (according to the daily schedule). This walk begins at the Eco-Centre and takes you to places you wouldn’t otherwise be able to reach on your own. The guide will lead you through the pastures and, during the walk, you’ll learn a great deal about the lives of horses, sheep, goats, cattle and South American llamas. You’ll admire the beauty of the surrounding countryside and, as well as learning about the animals, you’ll discover the history of the site and the nesting habits of white storks. There will also be time for your questions or a discussion with the guide.

Feeding the sheep with an instructor

One of the new features at Ekocentrum is a visit to our little courtyard, where, during a designated time slot, you can get to know its inhabitants up close.

You can also buy suitable food at the Eco-Centre reception and take it with you for the animals. Specific information regarding the times will always be available on site on the Eco-Centre’s daily schedule.

Meeting with a carer

The keeper leads a commentary feeding session, during which you’ll hear lots of interesting and engaging information.

At weekends, on public holidays, during special events and on weekdays during the summer holidays, we’ve organised a meet-the-keeper session for you, which always takes place at 2.00 pm by the lemurs, coatis and meerkats.

Organised groups

Do you have a club, an association, a large group, or are there simply a lot of you? We can handle that too!

Organised visits and tours for groups of more than 10 people must always be booked in advance!
Group tours can be booked between April and October.
Due to capacity restrictions, we recommend booking well in advance.

The price for a tour lasting approximately 90 minutes is 110 CZK per person.

For schools and nurseries

A trip to the Eco-centre

School trips must always be booked well in advance. You can book your visit for any date between April and October.
You’re sure to find just the right option for your school trip from our range of activities. And if you’re planning a full day with us, you can book a set lunch menu in advance at Bistro U Čápa based on the current menu – menus for nursery and primary schools are available on request.

Day Camps 2026

We’ll make sure you have a varied and unforgettable programme!

Are you wondering how to organise a great summer programme for your children, but want them to be home in the evenings? Our day camps at the Čapí hnízdo Eco-Centre are the ideal solution. In the morning, you’ll drop off your little adventurers, and in the afternoon you’ll pick up enthusiastic children brimming with new experiences. For the older ones, there’s the option of a one-day adventure sleepover at the camp.
This year we’ve expanded our programme, and you can choose from three options:
1. Summer Adventure
2. Horse Riding Camp
3. Sports Camp – NEW
Our camps are led by carefully selected and regularly trained experts.
